David Tuttle has resigned as Millwall manager.
Tuttle has decided to leave the club so he can continue his managerial career elsewhere.
Goalkeeping coach Tony Burns and reserve team boss Alan McLeary will take charge for the final two matches of the season against Burnley and Crewe.
Tuttle had replaced Colin Lee in December but he was unable to keep Millwall in the Championship.
He said: ‘Naturally I am very disappointed that we were not able to avoid relegation, but I would like to thank the staff and players for giving it their best shot.
‘In particular, I would like to thank the fans for the way they have supported the team during a very frustrating season and I wish the club every success for the future.’

It sums up Tuttle’s attitute to the job that he couldn’t even be bothered to see it through to the bitter end.
It hardly makes any difference now relegation has been confirmed but you get the feeling he couldn’t wait to get out once it became obvious there would be no job next season.
Frankly he was an embarrassment from start to finish and, although the job was hard enough when he took over, his tactics and team selection baffled players and fans alike and ensured there was no chance of staying up. Thanks for nothing Dave.
