MILLWALL have confirmed that Neil Harris, Chris Hackett and Chris Zebroski have been offered new contracts at The Den with Richard Shaw also set to stay on in a coaching capacity.

But nine players – Mark Phillips, Zoom Bakayogo, Gavin Grant, Rhys Evans, Ryan James Chris Day, Tom Brighton, Andrew Callaghan and Ross Gaynor – have all been told their futures lie elsewhere and are free to leave when their current deals expire next month.

Manager Kenny Jackett told the club’s official site that he had made some tough decisions but believes he has freed up sufficient funds to bring in new players for the coming campaign.

He said: ‘It’s been a long day sorting things out. We’ve had nine players whose contracts haven’t been renewed, but it is important that we streamline the squad to make the space to bring in new faces to move this club forward next season.’

‘It’s never straightforward, but I’ve had long enough to think things through during the second-half of the season.’
