The results of the votes for Player of the Season 2009/2010 have been announced.

Congratulations to Alan Dunne who will receive his Player of the Season award on Saturday after polling 34% of the votes.

Dunney has been in outstanding form this season and only injury has kept him out of the last few games.

After coming up through the Millwall academy, Dunne made his debut first-team appearance on 19 March 2002 against Sheffield United and next season should pass the 200 appearance mark for The Lions.

Runner Up was Steve Morison who polled 29% of the votes cast after scoring 20 goals in his first season in League Football.
Third Place was Neil Harris (9%)

It was a night of double celebration for Dunney at the clubs awards dinner held in Bromley as he scooped the trophy for Goal of the Season too for his late strike at Wallsall, 2nd place went to Morison v Colchester and 3rd to Harris at Bournemouth.

Other awards on the night were:

Schoolboy of the Season Aiden O’Brien
Community Player of the Season Gary Alexander
Junior Lions Player of the Season Steve Morison
Manager’s Young Player of the Season John Marquis
MSC Special presentation award John Berylson

The MSC gave their award to John Berylson for the work he did fighting the West Hamcourt case. JB was genuinely surprised and chuffed at receiving the award.

Presentations for all the awards will take place on the pitch before the Swindon match on Saturday.
