It’s being reported that Steve Lomas is close to a deal for Leicester forward Martyn Waghorn.

A number of outlets are stating that negotiations have been on going for a while, and whereas a deal couldn’t be struck during the transfer window itself, both parties have made an agreement over a loan spell until the new year.

The loan would last for 93 days apparently and it’s hoped that Millwall will announce the player on Thursday or Friday and that will everything will be completed in time for the 23 year old to figure in the game against Derby County.

He should be good cover for the squad with Jermaine Easter out with a hamstring issue, Andy Keogh sidelined by a groin problem and Steve Morison out having had a double hernia operation.

It’s not the first time Waghorn has been linked with a move to The Den as Kenny Jackett tried to get him here on a loan spell last season.
