Kenny Jackett was delighted to see his half time change have the desired effect as Chris Taylor grabbed all three points for us today against Leicester.

Speaking to NewsShopper after the one nil victory, Jackett explained.

‘I felt we needed something more going down that left hand side, no disrespect to Scott Malone but I just felt it was a position we could improve from the bench. To come off the bench, make a good impact physically and then also to get the winner I’m sure will give him a lot of confidence. I’ve been pleased with Chris. He has been an addition for us and will be going forward, I’m very pleased with him today.’

As for the game itself, Jackett described the victory as huge for the club, especially given where it places us in the league.

‘It was a big win, we had to weather the storm, Leicester started at a good pace and had the first 20 minutes. We defended very well in that time and came through it. We started to create some chances of our own and then put in a dominant second half performance. I’m pleased the goal came when we were on top and it was at a key time. It gave us something to hold on to, which we did very well. We certainly showed some guts, we had to be at our very best against a good Leicester side.’
