It’s being reported that Nottingham Forest will decide at somepoint today whether to take over Darius Henderson’s contract.

The South London Press say Forest’s board will decide on whether to take over the strikers contract for the remainder of the season, and if they do they want the 31 year old to undergo a medical as soon as possible with a view to their game on Saturday.

If he does move, he will be available for 7 games prior to the resumption of his court case.

Henderson’s choice seems to be, impress Forest and hope to win a contract for next season in the time available to him or, remain with Millwall who have expressed an interest in offering him new terms – but not until the court case has been ruled on.

The player himself said.

‘I am looking to extend my career at Millwall. It’s a fantastic club, with a great manager and a great set of lads. It’s a club looking to improve and make strides forward. And my motivation for the rest of the season is to be a part of that into the future. But I realise that I must continue to work hard, score goals and convince the gaffer that I can get a new deal.’

We’ll see later today won’t we.
