Assistant manager Joe Gallen admits there might be a hint of Millwall being fortunate in our opening goal, but he called it the best piece of play in the game.

Speaking to NewsShopper following the game, Gallen said.

‘Our view from the dug out isn’t very good, people told me Andy Keogh was offside but he said he didn’t touch the ball. The fact of the matter is that once the ref gives the decision, it usually doesn’t change and we got a bit of luck. Having said that, I thought it was a dominant first half and we deserved to go in ahead. The thing no one is talking about is that it was the best move of the half.’

The only concern following the game is the potential injury to Chris Taylor, to which Gallen commented.

‘Chris’s words were that his back seized up, it was too much of a risk, we’ll find out on Monday how he is.’
